September 30, 2010- Horses

We have a planter in our garage that has some stuff in it that looks a lot like hay around the outside of it, and has some dirt and small rocks in it where you actually put the plant. Parker looked at it the other day when he was about waiting to get into the car and said, "The horses eat that hay...they can not eat the little rocks and dirt." I didn't even know he knew that horses ate grass. I started talking to him more about horses and asked if any horses lived at our house that would eat the hay. Parker then said, "no...the horses live in the barn." I'm sure he must have learned about where horses live from books we have with horses, but I thought it was neat that he remembered not only that horses eat hay, but that they live in barns.
