September 27, 2010- Memorizing Books

Ever since Parker was very young, he has been really good at memorizing the words in his books. There were books he would start to memorize after only having them read to him a couple of times! Parker usually wakes up from his nap talking about different things, but not quoting books. The other day when he woke up from his nap, the first thing he said was, "Hey...you never put your dirty foot on an egg!" A very odd thing to hear first thing out of your son's mouth when they wake up from their nap, but not so odd when you remember you very recently read them "Duck and Goose". I'm not sure why that is the line he chose to repeat of all the words in the book, but it was funny none the less. :)
