For anyone who doesn't already know, I will be starting a full-time job. I'll be an Assistant Instructor at MU's Child Development Lab. That really has nothing to do with this current post, other than it explains why I had to have a TB Test done. I start my job tomorrow so I'm sure I'll have more posts about the transition of me going back to work, Parker starting preschool, etc. but for now I'm going to go on to the reason for this post.
I had to have a TB Test done for work since I'll be working with kids. I just went down to the Health Department to have it done because I don't have a PCP here in Columbia yet (yes I know, I need to get on that). As they were prepping my arm for the TB Test (essentially like giving blood), and Parker looked at me with sad eyes and said, "Not me, mommy." The poor little guy thought we were there because he was going to have to get a shot! It broke my heart! :( After I explained to him that we were just there for mommy to give some blood and that he wasn't getting a shot, he said, "It's okay, mommy" in a very comforting tone. Do I have the sweetest boy or what?!
