We have this really cute book called "It's Not Easy Being a Bunny". It's about a bunny that decides he doesn't want to be a bunny anymore and decides to try being several other animals until he realizes that the only thing he REALLY likes being is a bunny. There is a part in the book where P.J. Funnybunny (the main character) goes to live with some moose because he's decide he'd rather be a moose than a bunny. They say that P.J. didn't make a very good moose because he "could not make good moose calls". Then in the picture on that page, they show a moose saying "moook" and P.J. trying to say "moook" but only being able to say "mooo".
Parker had never really payed any attention to the stuffed moose that he has with his other stuffed animals. On this particular day Parker started playing with it out of the blue. I started talking to him about the moose and he told me, "he not say 'moo', he say 'moook' mommy". We hadn't read the book in a LONG time but he remembers EvErYtHiNg in his books so I wasn't surprised that he thought of his book when he was playing with his moose...
