Been Awhile Since the Last Update...

I know it has been a long time since I've updated Parker's blog so I thought it was about time for an update! For this update I'll just include new words/body parts he knows and will do a seperate post for a few stories of "big boy" things he has been doing.

Words: "walk, walk", cheerios, with (I'll explain this one), wet (referring to a wet diaper)

Body parts: cheeks

We havn't tried to teach him any new signs lately so he hasn't done any new signs lately. He picks up on them really well lately but most of the basic ones he already knows and he's repeating us and saying so many words lately that it hasn't been as neccessary for him to do to communicate with us.

Now on to the "with" story. Yesterday we went to the zoo in Manhattan with a mom's group that we attend. We stopped and played on the playground while we were there which Parker LOVED! He really loves sliding lately! He used to only want to do the swings, but the last time I put him in a swing, he started reaching for me to take him out and saying all done almost immediately after going into the swing in the first place! Anyway, he went down the slide with me helping him a little bit by holding his waist and arm and moving his foot when the rubber soles of his shoes would get stuck but could almost go down all by himself! He was smiling and had fun going down by himself but I thought he might also like to go down the slide with me. I put him in my lap and we slid down together and I think he liked it better because he could go faster...little daredevil! I would then ask him when he would reach for the slide and sign please if he wanted to go down by himself or with mama and he would say "wi mama"! He said it several times in a row when I would ask so I'm sure he got it! I'll include some sliding pics from when we were at the zoo! :)
